DESIGN AND SUSTAINABILITY AT THE PUBLIC DESIGN FESTIVAL
Last week the fourth edition of the 2018 Public Design Festival took place in Madrid. The Design Centre, in the emblematic Matadero cultural centre, opened its doors to begin an edition focused on transferring to the public the responsibility of the designer in his relationship with social and environmental responsibility in the development of his professional activity.
The event, organised by the Superior Design School of Madrid (ESDM) and in collaboration with institutions, professional associations, administrations and non-governmental organisations, offered a wide range of conferences, activities, roundtables, presentations and an exhibition of projects.

AMBIENTE EUROPEO AND DROPSON, RAISE AWARENESS AMONG STUDENT´S ABOUT MARINE LITTER
The ESDM and Ambiente Europeo collaborated together in this new edition in the development of strategies aimed at providing solutions to the problem of marine litter. AAE projects have inspired students to develop and create their proposals.
The themes of this edition have been design and customization, collaborative design and sustainable design. From this field, the students proposed solutions to a problem that threatens to destroy the planet.
Ambiente Europeo starts the Friday with an information session about marine litter with Fernando Rey (ESDM) and Daniel Rolleri (AAE).
Along with the proposals presented by the students, there would be a roundtable discussion made up of various companies and institutions. Dropson was present in this talk dealing with the problems of plastics in the sea and presenting the filter can, a real and sustainable alternative to the consumption of bottled water.
Find out more about the filter can.
