Dropson participates in the Focus SME and Entrepreneurship Baix Vinalopó 2018

On April 26th in El Baluarte del Duque de Arcos in Santa Pola´s castle,  took place the Focus Pyme y Emprendimiento Baix Vinalopó, in which Alain Hierro, Dropson´s CEO, took part in the meeting about «Innovation and Sustainability».

Dropson, together with three other companies from the UMH Science Park, Iberogen, Alpha Spirit and Ilice Photonics, presented their business experiences and showed how the union between innovation and sustainability can lead to projects that are blue growth, efficient and respectful with the marine ecosystem and the exploitation of natural resources from the sea and oceans.

DROPSON, INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY REFERENCE

Alain Hierro, Dropson´s CEO and founder, presented the company’s philosophy and its latest innovation in domestic water filtration: the filter can. An innovative, efficient and environmentally friendly product, developed to cover the high demand of water and reduce the environmental impact and negative effects of plastics on the marine ecosystems from excessive consumption of bottled water.

The event was very well received and in the round table discussion on innovation and sustainability, the Filter Can was the focus of the vast majority of questions.

A forum aimed to promote business contact and exchange between entrepreneurs and training, organised through the collaboration of different companies and public-private organisations. An initiative of the Generalitat Valenciana, organized by CEEI Elche, Santa Pola, Elche and Crevillente´s City Council and Science Park UMH among others, and financed by IVACE and FEDER.

Throughout the event, different round tables were held to discuss the main theme and common theme of the event, «Blue Growth», in support of sustainable growth in the marine and maritime sectors and in recognition of the importance of the seas and oceans as engines of the European economy due to their great potential for growth.
