Dropson finalist in the Conama 2018 Ecodesign contest
The Dropson filter can has been selected as one of the ten finalist projects in the II edition of the Ecodesign Contest, in Conama 2018, National Environment Congress, to be held on 27 November in Madrid.
From 26 to 29 November, the Madrid Municipal Conference Centre will host the 14th edition of the National Congress on the Environment, Conama 2018, the benchmark environmental event in Spain, a biennial congress that brings together all professionals and entities involved in sustainable development.
Ecodesign, is a contest presented by Inédit and Conama Foundation, to identify and recognize innovation in sustainability and give visibility to those projects with products, services or business model designed taking into account the reduction of environmental impact. Sustainable and environmentally friendly projects that promote the circular economy model and prevent the generation of waste throughout the entire life cycle of the product.
Alain Hierro, CEO of Dropson and Daniel Rolleri, Director of Asociación Ambiente Europeo, in their mutual commitment for the reduction of single-use plastics in the environment and marine ecosystems, will present the project «Filter Can», as a sustainable alternative to consume table water without contributing the increase of plastic waste, and will do with nine other companies including Danone, Lanjarón, L´Oreal or Procter & Gamble.
CONAMA, THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT
The congress is organized by the Conama Foundation, an independent spanish non-profit organization dedicated to promote collaborative networks on the environment to share knowledge and create solutions to the ecosocial crisis.
This edition is presented under the slogan, Rumbo 20.30., which aims to launch a message to society to accelerate the transition to sustainability. With a vision of a sustainable society based on a circular, green and low-carbon economy, it seeks to promote work to meet the challenges that commit Spain in the framework of the UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.
The last edition, held in 2016, mobilized more than 7,900 attendees and a network of more than 450 collaborating institutions, companies, local entities and professionals from the environmental sector.
