Dropson solves a case of extremely hard water in Marrakech

The Auberge du Lac riad is located on the banks of Lake Takerkoust, about 30 km from Marrakech. The riad is Berber in style with views of the lake and the Atlas Mountains.

The accommodation has two outdoor swimming pools and a wooden terrace with a bar in the shape of a boat.  In addition to different types of rooms, apartments and villas carefully decorated, with unbeatable views.

Solution in an extremely hard water environment

The space is located in an area of Morocco with a high water hardness, around 100ºfH. This extreme water hardness was the cause of significant damage to the operation of the hot water production systems, continuous faults in the faucets and uncomfortable setbacks, which affected the customers’ stay.

The Dropson brand distribution company in Morocco, carried out a study of calculation and sizing of the necessary devices, through our software.

The study determined the need to install a Dropson EMI 7000 anti-scale system, together with a sediment filter, in the recirculation of the riad’s drinking water supply tank.

Improvements in the facilities

After 3 months of the installation of the Dropson anti-scale system, the preventive and curative effects of our electronic water softener became evident. The faucets were working normally and the heating elements of the electric boilers were no longer blocked by limescale build-up.

The hotel’s facilities were fully stocked and fully refurbished. The usual purges and basic maintenance were sufficient for the proper functioning of the installation.

The satisfaction on the part of the owners was complete and from the first moment they began to be aware of the improvements.
